Beyonce Reportedly in “Talks” for Major GRAMMY “Onstage Appearance”

Published: Saturday 21st Jan 2023 by Sam

Beyonce made her grand return to the stage tonight (January 21) at the lavish opening of Atlantis The Royal in Dubai.

And while it was a private event, the star-studded spectacle sparked ample excitement on social media (where it trended in earnest) – particularly as it served as Queen Bey’s first full-length showing since 2018.

Viewers of the clips that spilled online (despite the no-filming policy) noted that the superstar’s setlist did not include any tracks from her chart-topping ‘Renaissance’ album.

Instead, the hour-long performance was comprised of classics such as ‘Crazy In Love,’ Pop hits like ‘Beautiful Liar,’ and rare gems ala ‘Flaws & All.’ Songs from ‘The Lion King: The Gift’ also received their first live showing – including ‘Spirit,’ ‘Bigger,’ and ‘Brown Skin Girl’ with daughter Blue Ivy.

This prompted speculation that the upcoming GRAMMY Awards could be the platform for a rousing ‘Renaissance’ showing.

And now a new report suggests that may well be the case.

Full story below…

In speculating about where a future ‘Renaissance’ live showing could land, Variety shared:

“[we] hear talks with [GRAMMY] show producers are ongoing for a possible onstage appearance.”

A major GRAMMY “appearance” from Beyonce on February 5 would be all sorts of apt given that she leads this year’s nominations with 9 nods – including Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year.

What’s for sure is that we’re super ready to see and hear ‘Renaissance’ brought to life in a live setting. Especially after this evening’s electrifying showing at Atlantis The Royal; select footage from which has been shared in an official capacity.

This year they should give it up to drake. he should have more recognition. He been holding down music for the last few years. And 50 cent been doing it for tv. I’ma put drake on the top 5 list of best rappers If nobody else Will

People received a word with the invitation. Stating cell phones were prohibited but that they would be allowed to use them when notified for « the big reveal ». There was zero reveal. Pretty much another let down.

She apparently had foot surgery recently following an injury during tour rehearsals. She was limping a bit if you notice. So I’m wondering if that reveal was the tour and had to push it back.

But then again they could have not distributed those instructions if that reveal was cancelled.

I get the whole « I’m Beyoncé I do whatever I want » but this era isn’t really respectful towards the fans. She dropped the album then adios. This is ridiculous.

First show in 5 years is for a bunch of celebs and so called influencers in a country where you can be killed or put in jail for your sexuality, which concerns quite a big part of her audience let’s be honest. But I guess that doesn’t count anymore when you get paid 24 millions.

You don’t get killed or put in jail for your sexuality in Dubai…

You just need to look it up :
All sexual activity outside of heterosexual marriage is illegal in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and carries a penalty of “confinement for a minimum period of one year” (UAE Penal Code article 356).
The UAE Penal Code is ambiguous as to whether homosexuality is punishable by death.

There’s a lot or expats overthere. They leave them alone. But the residents get a whole different treatment.
She should know better. But money is more important.

There are no “talks”. If Beyonce is gonna perform on the Grammys it’s already confirmed.
